Cancellation of Reservation

Bookings made online will only be valid once the customer has received an email confirmation from La Garganta stating that the booking has been accepted by the Rural Tourist Complex, and provided that the length of stay complies with the minimum stay requirements set out on our website under the ‘Prices’ section.

Cancellation of accommodation booking

Cancellation will be free of charge for the customer if made at least 3 days before the check-in date

If the booking is cancelled 3 days before the check-in date, the customer will be charged for one night’s accommodation.

If the cancellation is made on the day of arrival or the guest fails to arrive at the Rural Tourist Complex on that date, the hotel reserves the right to charge up to 100% of the total booking amount, depending on the length of stay booked and the season.

If your booking is for one of our packages, please note that once confirmed, it cannot be cancelled as they are all non-refundable

Rules for pets: La Garganta Holiday Resort is pet-friendly, but guests must adhere to a few basic rules to ensure they do not cause any inconvenience to other guests.

Whenever one or more guests visit us with their pet and leave the premises, the pet must accompany them so as not to cause any inconvenience to other guests.

Any damage caused by pets must be reported to our hotel reception.

Terms and Conditions for Guided Tours to Caminito del Rey

Advance payment for tickets

The visit can be canceled and/or modified up to 24 hours before the day of the visit. In case of modification, this is subject to the activity's availability.

Visits to Caminito del Rey cannot be canceled/refunded/modified less than 24 hours before the visit date. Only if Caminito del Rey officially announces a closure for any safety reason, Hotel La Garganta commits to arranging a new date or refunding the booking amount to its guests.

It cannot be exchanged for another service.

The minimum age to do the Caminito is 8 years old.

The meeting point for the visit will be the Hotel La Garganta Reception.

Booking Conditions for Via Ferrata, Climbing, and other active tourism activities

To make a reservation, 100% advance payment for the activities is required.

The activity can be canceled and/or modified free of charge up to 24 hours before the day of the visit. In case of modification, this is subject to the availability of the activity in question.

Only if La Garganta Activa decides not to carry out the activity for safety reasons, such as adverse weather conditions or poor route conditions, we commit to refunding the booking amount. However, if the activity has to be canceled during its execution for safety reasons, no refund will be issued.

It cannot be exchanged for another service.

If, once the activity has started, the user decides not to continue, this will not be a reason for a refund.

Book a table at a unique restaurant

Reservations made from Internet will be valid only when the client receives from La Garganta an electronic confirmation stating that the reservation has been accepted by the Rural Tourist Complex, and whose stay is not different from the minimum stays established in our website in section of prices.

Algarbía was the name given to the western part of the province of Malaga during the time of Al Andalus and is the name by which the Natural Region of the Guadalhorce Valley has been known for centuries.
